Samsung 40inch LED TV

Saw this cardboard box used as a cover for a hawker stall.

Samsung UN40C6300 40-Inches 1080p LCD TV - GraphiteSamsung UN40D6000 40-Inch 1080p 120Hz LED HDTV (Black)

Something like that. I'm not saying hawker cannot afford these TVs but still its funny to see that they really bought one and used its box as the cover.

Kaspersky is More Annoying than a Real Virus

Here i share my experience with Kaspersky Internet Security 2010/2011.
Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 3-User

I bought this with 2 other friends in early 2010 and began using it. I would say it works quite well. Nothing much to comment and review. What Im about to share is what happens after the license expires.

Here it is that shows my license has expired when I launch the application. What annoys is the picture below.

This message prompt pops up in steady intervals constantly reminding you the license has expired. I havent exactly timed the intervals but I believe its between 10 minutes. Its almost behaves like adware / malware itself by popping up again and again.

My take is if you dont plan to renew the license, better delete it off and use other free anti virus / internet security suites rather than this annoying pop up. Having said that, Kaspersky continues to function even after license expired. Only that it wont update itself in accordance to new threats.

Insanely Fast Corporate Internet Speeds

Im wondering how do corporate companies have insanely fast internet speeds. Once I checked from speedtest.net it was an amazing 25Mbps throughput. And hey, it was consistently that way.

Few days back I went and download the iOS 4.3.1 firmware for jailbreaking my iPhone 4. The file size was 666MB. Guess how long did that take ?

Wait Long Long..

For those that are always waiting for the latest gadgets IN THE FUTURE.. The keyword is IN THE FUTURE...
iPad 3 , iPhone 5, so and so forth.

Please go to this website

Because it is a pointless and mindless neverending wait. When iPad 3 and iPhone 5 launches, there will be a better , faster and slimmer iPad 4 and iPhone 6. So why bother waiting for something that is IN THE FUTURE ?

Remember that for every second that you are waiting for the unreleased device, you are missing every second to enjoy it.

Edit : This post specifically targets iPads and iPhones because as you know, Malaysia is always few months lagging behind the official release. So when it gets released here, the next iteration of the device is around the corner. Waiting a little bit more and iPhone 5 will be launched in the USA but not Malaysia. What happens next ?

The whole waiting game repeats itself !!

Thank God, A is still for Apple

Remember when we were kids and there's this one thing that we go on and on memorizing it.

A for apple , B for boy , C for cat , D for dog , E for elephant..... so and so forth.

In the present day, with lots of lots of new tech savvy terms regarding to technology, the ABC has to be reinvented.

A - Apple
B - Blu-Ray

C - Canon

D - Dropbox

G - Google
H - HTC
I - Intel
J - Java

L - Linux

N - nVidia

O - Office
P - PayPal

U - USB

V - Vista

W - WiFi

X - XP
Z - Zune
Thank god A is still for Apple.

MSN spam bot

Today I log on my Windows Live Messenger aka MSN in the older times.
There was this bot that spammed me. Previously I would just ignore them. Today I replied them which I think give the bot a good "hi , i'm a responding human" , so it continued to spam me.

Here's a screenshot.

iOS 4.3.1 Untethered Jailbreak using redsn0w via Windows 7

I have followed the guide from iclarified redsn0w tutorial to perform an untethered jailbreak of my iPhone.
The guide was nicely done but I think I have screwed it up.

I think the guide pretty much explains everything and theres no need for me to elaborate further.
Just remember to backup your phone and also make sure you're on iOS 4.3.1 before doing anything.

Here are some pics of my jailbreaking process.
